Great Design

Approaching the new Fun Bus, you immediately see how this retro design fits into today’s world. From the oversized VW logo to the expansive greenhouse and D-pillar air vents reminiscent of the original Bus’s cooling slots, the ID. Buzz has an unmistakable look. Its iconic V-shaped hood mirrors the classic VW Bus, with a slim lateral bar that extends from either side of the illuminated emblem, connecting to premium LED projector headlights. Signature LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) with Volkswagen’s Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS) add sophisticated style, while the profile offers a modern take on the original Bus’s design.

Keeping it simple with three trims to fit various lifestyles: the Pro S, Pro S Plus, and the launch-only 1st Edition. The 1st Edition, featuring a 91-kWh battery and 282 horsepower for rear-wheel drive, offers maximum horsepower of 335 with 4Motion® all-wheel drive. Pro S models are available in rear-wheel drive only, while Pro S Plus and 1st Edition models come with rear-wheel and 4Motion configurations. Starting prices are $59,995 for the Pro S, $63,495 for the Pro S Plus, and $65,495 for the 1st Edition (all with a $1,550 destination charge). All models sport retro-inspired, 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels that are four inches larger than the 1950 T2 model. First Edition trims include white wheels with matte silver discs, while standard trims feature silver wheels with gloss black discs, enhancing air flow and channeling the original Microbus vibe. Dual power-sliding rear doors offer easy third-row access with a modern twist on classic sliding windows—now fully powered.

VW has thoughtfully designed the interior, from the retro-inspired wood-optic dash to playful ID. Buzz Easter eggs. The cabin merges nostalgic charm with modern functionality, creating an uncluttered, colorful space that echoes the original Bus’s cheerful vibe. Featuring a fully digital instrument cluster, a semi-floating central display, and a 30-color ambient lighting system, the spacious interior maximizes comfort and utility.

With three interior color schemes, the ID. Buzz’s modern Fun Bus vibe is unmistakable and unique to North America. The color themes complement exterior hues, offering customization options for every taste. Take “Moonlight,” a moody, dark interior with dark brown leatherette seats, white piping, blue door inserts, and a dark wood-look dash paired with a black headliner. “Dune,” a bright, coastal-inspired theme, combines light grey seats with clay-colored piping, clay door inserts, and a light wood-look dash. The final option, “Copper,” exudes mid-century modern vibes with rich brown leatherette seats, yellow piping, brown door inserts, and a washed wood-look dash.

Modern technology in the ID. Buzz creates a fully connected experience. The cockpit features two screens: a 5.3-inch ID. Cockpit digital display that replaces the traditional instrument cluster, and a 12.9-inch central infotainment display. The ID.’s cockpit, mounted on the steering column, shows data such as state of charge, range, and navigation, and operates with touch-sensitive controls on the multifunction steering wheel with haptic feedback. The Buzz’s 91-kWh battery provides 282 horsepower in RWD models and 335 hp with available 4Motion, offering an EPA-estimated range of 234 miles for RWD and 231 miles for 4Motion models. DC Fast Charging can take the battery from 10-80% in just 26 minutes—about the time it takes to grab breakfast.

Available in a rainbow of exterior colors, the launch-only 1st Edition includes two-tone exteriors, unique 20-inch wheels, roof rail crossbars, and 1st Edition badging, ensuring that you’ll stand out wherever you go.
