Often described as the embodiment of ‘exuberant style’ designer Shuting Qiu, a leader in the international fashion avant-garde, style is unabashedly feminine. Following in the footsteps of her design idols, the ‘Antwerp Six,’ the Chinese designer pursued a bachelor’s and master’s degree at the acclaimed, and highly competitive, Belgium Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp in 2019.
Her international travels and cross-continent residences greatly influenced the designer. Her deft mix of mores is represented in the designer’s selection of fabrics, textures, prints, patterns, and volume. Her printed leggings are coveted internationally and in this collection for fall 2022 prints and patterns repeat in tops and opera gloves.
For fall 2022 swaths of jewel-tone ‘fur’ add volume and verve. A touch of masculine stripe silks and plaids are sprinkled among the lace, floral, plaid, and stripe prints, knits, and glamour enticing decorative embroidery and sequined accenting.
