Not long ago we attended the launch of the Lamborghini Revuelto, the first super sports V12 hybrid plug-in HPEV. Now, at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, we are here for the unveiling of the Lamborghini Temerario. Succeeding the Huracán, the Temerario sets a new benchmark in the super sports car segment, reaching a top speed of over 210 mph and accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in a staggering 2.7 seconds.
As the successor to the Huracán, which debuted in 2014 and became the best-selling super sports car in the history of the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based automaker, the Lamborghini Temerario ushers in a new era of performance. Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, emphasized, “Every new Lamborghini must surpass its predecessors in terms of performance.”
With the Temerario, the hybrid plug-in sets a new standard for performance, sportiness, and driving pleasure. It features the first and only production super sports car engine capable of reaching 10,000 rpm—an achievement typically reserved for motorsports.
“With the Temerario, we’ve surpassed our expectations of what a mid-engine sports car can achieve in both performance and design,” said Stephan Winkelmann. “The Temerario marks the next chapter in our Direzione Cor Tauri plan by hybridizing our entire product line as we continue developing our full electric model, set to debut at the end of the decade.”
Temerario Means ‘Reckless’ in English
This new super sports car stands in a class of its own, featuring a 920 CV twin-turbo V8 hybrid powertrain that delivers unparalleled performance and comfort. The peerless driving experience is unmistakably Lamborghini.
