The Audi SQ8 is a performance SUV built with a powerful V8 and embodying an eye-catching bold road presence. The new Audi SQ8 complements this line up that starts with the Q8. We drove a premium package Audi SQ8 and fell hard for the functionality of an SUV and minimalist design that only this SQ8 can offer. The Audi SQ8 is a twin-turbo power plant pushing out 500 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque.

Just like in the new SQ7 Audi is directing laser-focused attention to detail inside and out. This design principle is evident in the muscular octagonal Singleframe® grille, standard LED headlights, and frameless doors. Inside the dashboard is angled toward the driver, creating a driver-centric cockpit.

In the world of auto design, Audi is legendarily never over-styled, and this SQ8 pays homage to the Audi Sport Quattro coupe of the 1980s. The pronounced wheel arches gently inclined C-pillars, and the light strip that comprises the rear LED taillight signature is reminiscent of the original sports coupe.

In this driver’s SUV, the cockpit’s three-dimensional architecture centers the new MMI® touch response system. An air vent strip spans the width of the dashboard, which is underlined by black panel elements and nearly uninterrupted inlays. At night the multicolor contour lights trace the design lines of the interior and provide a backlight for the Quattro badge above the glove compartment.
