During Paris Fashion Week, just steps from the Champs-Élysées, we slipped away from the whirlwind of the runways to V at the five-star boutique Hotel Vernet, where Parisian elegance meets Mediterranean flavors. Nestled on Rue Vernet, this discreet yet decadent hideaway studies Parisian elegance—where Haussmannian heritage meets contemporary refinement.
Once a classic 1913 mansion, Hôtel Vernet has been reimagined with a modern edge under the ownership of the B Signature Hotels & Resorts group, known for curating intimate, design-forward properties across France. The hotel’s unassuming façade gives way to a world of understated opulence, where refined interiors by François Champsaur merge art, architecture, and luxury. Yet, despite its modern sensibilities, the hotel’s soul remains deeply tied to its history—none more so than in its breathtaking glass ceiling, an original work by none other than Gustave Eiffel.
Beneath this magnificent canopy of light, we found ourselves at V, the hotel’s restaurant, a hidden gem in the Parisian dining scene. Here, Mediterranean flavors meet contemporary finesse under the direction of Chef Baldassare Mazzara. The space is a showstopper—bathed in golden hues as sunlight filters through Eiffel’s ironwork, illuminating sleek marble tables and jewel-toned banquettes. It’s a setting that feels grand and intimate, a perfect embodiment of the hotel’s ethos: exclusive yet inviting.
Hôtel Vernet is more than a stay; it’s an experience of discovery, where history and modernity converge. Whether escaping for a moment of gastronomic delight or retreating into one of the 50 meticulously designed rooms and suites, it’s a place that feels like a well-kept secret—one worth savoring.
